WebDAV sync explained

Milo 输入法 supports synchronizing your user dictionary and configuration through WebDAV, so you can move between devices.

Supported WebDAV services

  • Nutstore (recommended; a free account can be used)
  • Nextcloud
  • ownCloud
  • Any standard WebDAV server

Setup

  1. Open Milo 输入法 settings
  2. Go to "User data sync"
  3. Enter your WebDAV server address, username and app password
  4. Choose a sync interval (manual, every 6 hours or every 12 hours)
  5. Tap "Sync now"

How synchronization works

Milo 输入法 uses Rime's snapshot synchronization mechanism:

  1. Export a local user data snapshot
  2. Upload it to the WebDAV server
  3. Download snapshots from other devices
  4. Merge all snapshots using their timestamps
  5. Upload the merged snapshot again

All your data is stored on your own WebDAV server; we cannot access its contents.
